The Great Faith of a Roman, Centurion, Soldier.
"When Jesus heard this, He was amazed at the Centurion soldier, and turning to the crowd following Him, He said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in all of Israel.”
Is Jesus as amazed at our faith in Him, and His Father's ability, as He was at the Roman Centurion soldiers faith, to do truly great miracles, like remove mountains in our lives? Or, is our faith still shallow and weak?
Faith and Endurance
James, the half brother of Jesus said;
"Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a opportunity to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing" (James, 1:2-4).
Let us no longer live an undeveloped, faithless and defeated life, that is unable to please God, and receive anything from Him. But, let us instead, grab hold of godly faith like that of the Centurion soldier.
"You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible" (Matthew, 17:20).
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him" (Hebrews, 11:6).
"What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we desire is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead" (Hebrews, 11:1).

PRAYER: Heavenly, Father, I clearly witness a small sample of your power, every time a storm passes over. Yet, your sweet gentleness is there to behold throughout all of your creation, once the clouds run dry and their thunderous voices are silent. How is it, then, that I can be so important to you among all of nature that you would spare your Son, Jesus Christ, to carry my burden of sin to the cross? He bled and died for me. He cried out to you on my behalf, so that I can be forgiven. Oh, Lord, you bestowed such great mercy, beyond my worth. I long for the day when I can have the opportunity to bow in humble adoration at your feet, to praise you for what you have done. You are great, my Lord and Savior, beyond compare. My heart sings for you, because Jesus is mine. Thank you, Lord, for Salvation. Amen!
