Believe it or not, this is a true story. Some have described it as amazing, but it is simply one that has given me such hope and inspiration over the years. May it do the same for you ...

In 1966, there was an elderly woman who was unable to attend Church due to physical problems. She was considered a shut-in member of her Church. She was also considered a "Prayer Warrior," since she was known for her effective prayers, lifted out of her suffering and solitude.

She contacted the parents of a child that was born 100% blind at birth. The child was almost one year old. She told the parents that, while in prayer, she was led to suggest to them that they have the child anointed and prayed over in the manner prescribed scripturally (James 5:14-16). She also told them that she believed the child would do great things for the Lord.

Resting In The Shadow Of The Almighty

Are We Taking On More Responsibly And Cares Than God Ever Intended For Us To Take On?

When I saw this photo below, I immediately thought of all those times when I ran ahead of the Lord, and had taken on far more responsibility than He ever intended that I should take on.

Then, I thought of all those other times when I "Thought" I had given my troubles, concerns and worries over to the Lord, only to soon discover that I had actually taken those heavy burdens back again, burdens that I was never meant to carry in the first place.

Read here in Matthew 11:28-30, what Jesus has to say to those who are His spiritual children about carrying heavy burdens.

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

So, let's us immediately come to Jesus with our burdens, lay them at the foot of His cross, leave them there and find rest for our weary souls.

When we see our children struggling to carry heavy and unnecessary burdens, we pray that they would turn to us for help, how much more then, does our Lord Jesus desire to help us?

God Alone Is My Refuge, Strength And Fortress. I Will Give My Burdens Over To Him, Where I Will Find His Strength, Rest And Peace.

"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty" (Psalm, 91:1).

Imagine looking through the eyes of the Holy Spirit. Life might be a dark and dreary tunnel to you. Yet, the Holy Spirit can see the light that is God, waiting for you at the end. All you must do to find your way is to follow the Holy Spirit. He will lead you through that tunnel and into the light, to a place Jesus called, "Paradise." (Luke 23:43).

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." - 2 Corinthians 3:17

Is There a Mountain in Your Life That Needs To be Removed?

The Great Faith of a Roman, Centurion, Soldier.

"When Jesus heard this, He was amazed at the Centurion soldier, and turning to the crowd following Him, He said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in all of Israel.”

Evolution or creation, an awesome, unexplainable outcome, or the divine plan of the true and living God?

Some people claim a superior secular knowledge pertaining to how science says everything we see came about apart from God. They place the full weight of their faith and eternal future in science alone, and not in God alone. What they are sorely lacking then, is spiritual wisdom and godly insight.

PRAYER: Oh Lord, no matter what happens in my life, good or bad, my soul rests in you. Satan might unleash this world, with all of its trials and temptations, to feast upon my heart. Yet, I thank you for the blessed assurance that Jesus shed His blood to save my soul. I praise you, Lord, that my sins are nailed to the cross. Therefore, I live for you, Lord, as Christ lives within me. I do not faint at the thought of my dying breath, as I know you will whisper peace to my soul. Yet, my hope is not for the grave. My eyes are on the sky, as I await your coming. No matter what comes, whether it be ashes to dust OR the sound of Heaven's gates opening at the time of your glorious return ... my soul will be well. My soul is at peace, because of you ... My Lord and Savior. Amen!

PRAYER: Dear God, I welcome your Holy Spirit to convict me, wherever my heart might be corrupt and not worthy of your Kingdom. It is my desire to live a righteous life, according to the standards set forth by your Word. The world would corrupt my thinking, Lord, with its ill conceived notions about what you would consider sufficient. Men often authoritatively say what they THINK, but the Holy Spirit often shows me that what they THINK adds and / or takes away from what Jesus taught. Thank you, Lord, for your Holy Spirit. He resonates within my heart, and I choose to listen to YOU over all that would otherwise confuse and cause ME to stumble. I am a lowly and simple man that must rely upon wisdom that comes from you. When Jesus said in John 15:5 ... apart from Him, I can do nothing; He made it very clear to me that I should abide strictly by His ways. Jesus always showed love, but He did not excuse sin under any circumstances. In John 8:1-11, your Word says that Jesus protected the adulterer, BUT He did not excuse her sin. He COMMANDED her to leave her life of sin, and He offered no exemptions for her weaknesses or temptations in life (whatever they might have been). We are ALL born with challenges and difficulties, Lord, BUT it has become my joy to overcome them so that your works can be displayed in me. Oh, God, your Holy Spirit has made it quite clear to me the seriousness of what Jesus meant when He declared Himself as the vine, on which we are to be the branches. If there might be anything that separates me from that life-giving vine and inhibit your works through me; then please, Lord, swiftly dispatch your Holy Spirit to reveal my fault. Please, do NOT leave me to be enabled by the world and its secular thinking. By your mercy, Lord, I am a branch that can grow evermore toward Heaven until my dying breath. Thank you, Lord, for your teaching and nurturing. Amen!

Are You Worried and Anxious About What Tomorrow Might Bring?  Sometimes the trials we face make our sleepless nights seem as though they may never end. But, Jesus says we are to cast all our worries and burdens upon Him and He will strengthen and sustain us. (Psalm, 51:2) (Philippians, 4:13)

So tonight, if you are worried and anxious about what tomorrow might bring, "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has already done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus" (Philippians, 4:6-7).

Photo: "Apart From Me You Can Do Nothing" (John, 15:5).

We can not produce spiritual fruit while separate from Jesus

In John, 15:1-6, Jesus said that those who become separated from Him, can do nothing. That is not to say of course that we can do absolutely nothing, it does mean however, that when we decide to separate ourselves from Him, we are then unable to produce the good spiritual fruit of the Holy Spirit.

"But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!" (Galatians, 5:22-23).

Many believe that the passage of scripture in John chapter 15, is speaking only of winning souls for God's kingdom. And, while that may be one of the many good results of abiding or remaining in Jesus, vs: 4, the actual fruit or evidence of our salvation is found in our continued, loyal service to Him alone, and His teaching.

Jesus said; "I chose you to GO and bear much fruit for Me" (John, 15:16)."Apart From Me You Can Do Nothing" (John, 15:5).

Yes, Love Is the KeyI'm not always going to tell you what you want to hear. Instead, I'm ONLY going to tell you what's on my heart, as applied through conviction to my own life in Christ. Whether something I share connects with you, hits a sore spot, OR means absolutely nothing; all I can tell you is this ...

I am a man, like any other. I fall short of God's Glory. However, I found Christ, repented, and received His mercy. I was reborn in that spirit, and I have been growing every since. I'm am still in the world, so I must work hard on myself every day to keep God's enemy in check. I cannot do it on my own. Therefore, I must continue to take my weaknesses and burdens to the Lord for His strength and wisdom. What I get out of that process and share, it is partly the basis for my witness to you. However, understand this ...
