I am a man, like any other. I fall short of God's Glory. However, I found Christ, repented, and received His mercy. I was reborn in that spirit, and I have been growing every since. I'm am still in the world, so I must work hard on myself every day to keep God's enemy in check. I cannot do it on my own. Therefore, I must continue to take my weaknesses and burdens to the Lord for His strength and wisdom. What I get out of that process and share, it is partly the basis for my witness to you. However, understand this ...
"... What I know now is not complete. But someday I will know completely, just as God knows me completely." - From 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 (NIRV)
I am, by far, imperfect. I humbly accept and acknowledge that fact, so that there can be no distraction in what I witness to you. I am NOT speaking to you from a distance or high above you. I am in the world, just like you.
You see, God is everything. When we surrender to being nothing and powerless without Him; it is only THEN that He can use us. Yet, just as important as humility is to being an effective witness, we must really start by applying the following in our walk ...
"The three most important things to have are faith, hope and love. But the greatest of them is LOVE." - 1Corinthians 13:13 (NIRV)
Yes, LOVE is the key, as defined throughout the entire Chapter of 1Corinthians 13. It is essential reading and understanding for anyone who sincerely seeks to live a Christ-like life.
To live such a life IS to become a witness, even if involuntary. It won't necessarily be by what you write or say. It can simply be by how you live in the eyes of the world.
Any of you who have accepted Christ; realize your role as a witness. Do not throw yourself away, because of your lack of grandeur. We all fall short of God's Glory. Present your life with humility and love. God will do the rest. You will be blessed. You can count on it.
