Greetings!
Here are the top 5 posts favored by the community at "Jesus Christ The Messiah" (JCMessiah.org) during the week ending January 14th, 2012, starting with #5. Let's flashback together, all the way to #1, and feel free to forward these highlights to your family, friends, and others who might like to receive them:

Put down the tanning lotion, everyone, and listen up ... :-)
Are you identifying yourself as a Christian, without trying to bring others to Christ through both word and deed?
Isn't that like putting on a swim suit and sunglasses, strutting around the public pool, flexing a bicep once in a while, and calling yourself a Life Guard; all the while, worrying more about maintaining your groomed hair and even tan, intending to wait for another guard to dive in first in order to rescue someone? Are we talking about Bay Watch here, when it should be Soul Watch??
"Christian" is not a status symbol. It comes with a commission; what Jesus said before He went to Heaven ... Mark 16:15 (NIRV) "Go into all the world. Preach the good news to everyone."
If you are not willing to dive in to save others, then you might as well pack up the old rescue tube. Your job as Life Guard is about as secure as a so-called Christian's relationship with God; referring to one who turns a spiritual blind eye to those who are lost.
Share the commission with others, so that all believers can be reminded to take the plunge AND help rescue as many souls as possible.

The roots of attraction that bring people into relationships and marriage are SO varied, depending on the needs of individuals, where they are at in their lives, and their maturity (including spiritual). So unique, the possible combinations are far greater than fingerprints.
One thing for certain, though, a marriage can survive many ups and downs when both husband and wife maintain a humble, sacrificial, and loving attitude for one another. This means two people, simultaneously, putting the feelings and needs of the other spouse above their own. A marriage is less likely to be successful when only one (or neither) spouse has that healthy attitude. In God's design for marriage, though, two people who are equally yoked have in common a love toward one another in this spirit. It certainly is a key part of the binding that keeps them together. Isn't that just another expression of being Christ-like? (See Matthew 13: 14-17).
Is this old school? Well, YES, absolutely the MOST tried and true school of them all, established by God Himself. All other schools are not accredited and do not sufficiently prepare you to qualify for such things, like marriage.
Do you agree that pride or selfishness is an invisible mistress that strains and destroys marriages? IF YOU disagree and BELIEVE that JESUS was a MODEL of being PRIDEFUL and SELFISH; then WE will PRAY that YOUR MARRIAGE will SUSTAIN in spite of this.

Do you have time for God, OR are you too busy herding cats?
Well, you know Martha in Luke 10:38-41 was busy with all of the things that had to be done. She came to Jesus and said, "Lord, my sister has left me to do the work by myself. Don't you care? Tell her to help me!" "Martha, Martha," the Lord answered. "You are worried and upset about many things. But only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better. And it will not be taken away from her."
So, let those cats run wild for once. They have mice to catch, and God will take care of them in time. In the meantime, choose what is better ... just like Mary did.

When you take the time to get alone with God and pray, are you doing it for YOU or HIM? It shouldn't be like sitting on Santa's lap, talking about what YOU WANT. He already knows what YOU NEED. What you SHOULD WANT is what HE WANTS. Start with just WANTING to be with HIM, because HE WANTS to be with YOU ... ALWAYS! Isn't that awesome?

Are you alone? Did somebody hurt you? Do you live in fear of what others might do? Are you in pain or sick, even dying? Have your eyes grown dim? Do you carry a heavy load? Are you just about to give up hope?
Are you falling? Are you weak? Have you lost strength? Are you weary? Do you have you no way to rest OR no place to hide? Are you trying to pray for answers, or do you stop because you cannot wait? When you try to walk by reaching out with your heart, you faint?
Just remember what Jesus said in Matthew 11:28 (NIV) ... "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
The Lord, He is everlasting and has the strength to recreate the world over and over again, never becoming tired or weary. Also, what He knows, neither you nor I can really understand. If you wait on Him, though, He will most certainly give you hope. He has power for the weak. He has strength for the weary. He renews the strength of His fallen youth ... for those who believe and trust in Him. If you wait on Him, in your heart you will SOAR on wings like eagles. You will RUN and NOT be weary. You will WALK and NOT faint. (Based on Isaiah 40:28-31)
Be a disciple with us and share this message with others, so that they will be encouraged with God's hope. It is why we are here.
